The design leader who keeps craft and complexity together in every data product he ships.
Alonzo Canada is VP of Design at WisdomAI, designing analytical superintelligence — ambient AI that turns signals into charts, apps, and reports. Across two decades he has made powerful data systems usable, from Interana's behavioral analytics to ThoughtSpot, where he grew design from 2 to 16 and helped the company reach a $2B+ valuation. A maker at heart, he still fabricates hybrid 'post-human' objects by hand.

As Founding Head of Design at Atta (2025–2026) and now VP of Design at WisdomAI, Alonzo designs ambient analytical intelligence — agents that monitor signals and synthesize them into charts, apps, and reports on an infinite canvas. Atta, backed by Menlo Ventures, pairs an AI agent with a spatial surface where analyses persist side by side. It's the craft-and-complexity problem he started with, at a new order of magnitude.
“AI presents this challenge and opportunity in spades.”
For four years Alonzo carried craft into hyperscale platforms: Director of Product Design at Meta (2021–2022), where business messaging connected 2B+ people with 3M+ businesses; Head of UX for 20+ AWS platform products; and VP of Design at Rippling (2023–2024), unifying 30+ products and overhauling the Pebble design system across 7k pages.
“Craft, AI-native, cohesion across multi-product platforms.”
The defining chapter. Reporting to the CEO as VP of Design and Experience (2016–2020), Alonzo built ThoughtSpot's design function from 2 to 16 and helped carry the company from a $50M Series B to a $2B+ unicorn. He built the Radiant design system, authored the company's seven product principles, and is a named inventor on its natural-language-query patent.
“At ThoughtSpot, we're never done.”
At Interana (2014–2015), reporting to the CEO, Alonzo conceived and designed the company's behavioral-analytics product — a consumer-grade experience over Facebook-scale data, built with founders from Facebook's engineering leadership. He carried it from a blank page through launch and a Series B raise. It is the first appearance of the tension he'd spend a decade on: planetary-scale data, made usable for people who aren't analysts.
For a decade Alonzo was one of three partners at Jump Associates, growing the firm from 10 to 60 people and fusing ethnography, design thinking, and business strategy. His 'Game Nights' research produced the Chrysler 200 — a 496% sales jump over the Sebring — and 'cultural immersion' with football fans gave NBC 'Sunday Night is Football Night.' In parallel he taught Needfinding at Stanford.
