Co-Founder, Eden Energy · PJM Certified Dispatcher
Los Angeles, California
The certified dispatcher selling power market operation services on the PJM market he learned to operate.
David Lim co-founded Eden Energy Technologies in 2026 to sell PJM market operation services such as power trading, outage scheduling, and asset reporting at edenenergy.ai, and studies for a Chicago Booth MBA while he runs it. He reached that seat the long way: natural gas at Vega Energy, solar finance at Lightsource BP, a first venture in Terra2, then three Invenergy roles that took him from scheduling generation to trading it day-ahead as a PJM Certified Generation Dispatcher. Alongside the work he reviews the Department of Energy's CyberForce competition.

David co-founds Eden Energy Technologies in May 2026 to sell PJM market operation services at edenenergy.ai, positioning the firm on the credential he earned first — PJM Certified Generation Dispatcher — and the day-ahead desk he traded at Invenergy. He runs it while earning a Chicago Booth MBA on the Dean's Honor List.
“We are a nimble team of operators experienced in all ISOs in the United States. Our primary focus is PJM as we are PJM Certified Generation Dispatchers with real-time and day-ahead experience.”
Three successive Invenergy roles in Chicago, from Power Scheduler to Day Ahead Power Trader to Trading Associate (2023–2025), convert David's analyst background into live power-market operating experience. This is where he earns the PJM Certified Generation Dispatcher credential — the operating heart of the résumé Eden Energy is built on.
David moves from gas into solar finance at Lightsource BP (2019), structuring power purchase agreements and running M&A for bp's solar subsidiary, then founds his first company, Terra2, in San Francisco. The founder chapter overlaps the pandemic's onset, during which he volunteers as a CORE COVID tester.
“Entrepreneurial experience & managing team”
David's energy career begins on the gas side at Vega Energy in Houston — a 2015 internship, then a full-time Analyst role (2017–2018) covering natural gas commodities, scheduling, and pipeline infrastructure. He graduates Harvard Cum Laude in Economics in 2017, the same year he returns to Vega full-time.
“Natural gas commodities & infrastructure development”
Before energy, David reads Economics at Harvard (2013–2017, Cum Laude), captaining the Federal Reserve Challenge and leading the MIR Investment Club, with a 2014 LSE summer term. It follows a Valedictorian finish at West Ranch High School — early, applied interest in markets and monetary policy.
